Approximately one out of five Americans has a disability. They span every ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, and socioeconomic group, yet they are often overlooked as part of the tapestry of diversity.

“I am committed to ensuring that this population has full access to mental health services. Clinicians need thoughtful training to deliver effective clinical services to people with disabilities. When clinicians learn to humanize disability and incorporate simple, yet critical strategies into everyday practice, they improve the level of treatment for this underserved population.”
